The festive formula for “Hope for the Holidays” is simple yet powerful: San Diegans are invited to join the cause in three easy steps. Second, donate a new, unwrapped gift to the nonprofit’s Spring Valley office by December 5th, ensuring that every present is a symbol of hope and kindness. Mid-December will see the holiday spirit kick into high gear when Boys to Men’s very own Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus, played by Executive Director Rose Courtney and Co-founder Joe Sigurdson, embark on a series of surprise visits to San Diego County middle and high school campuses. Dressed in festive attire and armed with boxes of beautifully wrapped gifts, these merry ambassadors of hope aim to brighten the lives of the underestimated, often fatherless boys who attend the weekly mentoring circles.
