Welcome to boys to men

EMPOWERING TEENAGE BOYS SINCE 1996

History

Boys to Men Mentoring Network was founded in 1996 by Craig McClain, Herb Sigurdson, and his son Joe.

programs

Our programs are designed to create safe spaces for both boys and mentors to develop positive and healthy relationships built on honesty, consistency, and accountability.

CURRICULUM

Our community based mentoring model challenges young men to reach their fullest potential

The Teen Pathways to Greatness Initiative

As we enter the next quarter century of empowering troubled teens, we will expand our mission to offer a more comprehensive and far-reaching solution to the Boy Crisis in our community by creating higher-level programmatic activities to forge long-term solutions. Boys to Men Mentoring wants to stand by its boys after they reach the age of 18—giving every boy an even greater opportunity to reach their full potential.

SEE HOW BOYS TO MEN CHANGES LIVES

Every week, our mentors show up at middle schools, high schools, and community centers to give teenage boys a community of men who listen, encourage, and empower them.

A BROKEN SYSTEM

If we can cultivate happy and healthy individual students that are on a path to gainful employment, are connected to society, care about their neighbors—then what you’ll start to see decrease in the community is crime, homelessness, addiction. All those things are a byproduct of a broken system. Boys to Men in partnership with local school districts can solve that problem.

FATHERLESS GENERATION

Fatherless teenage boys have a higher than average risk of participating in crime, dropping out of school, and entering into the prison system before the age of 18.

Be Part Of The Solution

Proven principles coupled with in-school and open-community mentoring programs offer teenage boys a safe space to share their feelings, fears, and traumas. Volunteer mentors provide vulnerable boys with the support and guidance needed to navigate challenges often faced during adolescence and develop the resilience necessary to cope with their issues.
